About
Øyvind Pedersen (b. 1982) is a visual artist from Alta, Norway. He is originally from Narvik in Nordland but has lived in Finnmark since 2011. His artistic practice revolves around minimalism and existentialism, with a primary focus on printmaking and drawing – although he also explores other mediums within visual art.
In minimalism, Øyvind works particularly with geometric minimalism, where the northern Norwegian landscape serves as both inspiration and subject matter. Øyvind is a member of the Norwegian Association of Independent Artists (NFUK).
"An expression first and foremost requires an impression, not an art education. An art education might find expression, but I doubt it would make much of an impression."
― Øyvind Pedersen
